SJ Talks about making his song- "I Like You"

If you haven't checked out SJ and his terrific new song "I Like You", then you should watch the video and listen carefully to his words. The song is inspiring and really well written.
His charming delivery is infectious and the melody stays with you in an uplifting way.

SJ's story:
It's such an amazing journey to follow a music passion. The short story behind "I Like You" is that I was in a relationship with someone for quite a while who used to - in the most innocently affectionate and yet affirmational way - say to me, "I like you!". It took me a while to really get it - that it was not just surface level sweetness - it was something more powerful. . . even than perhaps love and the all-to-often dismissed "I love you". Think about it? How often do we say, "I really like you"....but how important is it? Extremely. If you've lost the like, all the love in the world doesn't matter. Well, when I realized it, and didn't take it for granted anymore, the song came to me instantly and I wrote the whole thing in one sitting. Of course, as it goes, it was a little too late for that relationship, but the song I think turned out to be a sincere and beautiful byproduct of that life/growing experience/moment. Friend and fellow musician/producer Derek Olds helped me cut it down into the final product I released. The music video is for that song, as it's by far my catchiest song to date, and I'm now finding that people sing along to it at my shows!
