Nominated for a record nine CMA Awards and winning three, Country star Miranda Lambert is a not so silent music mecca these days. Her slow burn approach has really paid off as she walked away with Album of the year for "Revolution"and honors in top female vocalist. Her hit song, "The House That Built me" was named song of the year for songwriters Tom Douglas and Allen Shamblin. Her soon to be husband, Blake Shelton also took home the top male vocalist. A handsome and talented couple for sure.
This Longview Texas Artist is only the third female country singer in history to have three records debut at #1 on Billboard Country Albums.
She performed a fantastic tribute to Country music legend Loretta Lynn along with Sheryl Crow on the 2010 CMA's and her performance was outstanding. Loretta, Sheryl and Miranda performed a semi-traditional version of the classic "Coal Miner's Daughter" much to the delight of the fans. What a way to celebrate her 27th birthday! Check out the Performance.
I have to say that I have been following Miranda's career since she first stepped onto the scene as a finalist on the 2003 season of Nashville Star and she has grown as an artist every year. I love that she stayed true to her fans and true to her self. We can learn alot from this beautiful young lady.
Congratulations Miranda!
We love you.
